PIR insulation is almost entirely found in the form of rigid boards. This means that their application is limited to flat surface use, such as floors, walls and roof rafters. PIR insulation is not suitable for awkward angles and shapes.

Depending on the internal working conditions and the temperature differential with the outside environment, cold rooms may require thermal insulation in the walls, ceilings, and sometimes the floor.
